Mighty Kitchener can step up on his debut second to beat Is It Me, Mr Excel and Beauchamp United in the opener. The booking of Kieren Fallon catches the eye on Mighty Kitchener who was only just beaten by the more experierenced Pip's Baby on his debut at Wolverhampton 16 days ago. Despite looking green still, he came with a threatening run on the outside and would perhaps have won with a bit further to go. He gets the step up in trip now, and with Mr Fallon to do the steering, this half-brother to Considine should be capable of opening his account. Is It Me has been a bit too keen on his last two starts on fast ground on Turf but has gone close and with a little more restraint, may be placed at least, while Mr Excel handled a Polytrack surface when third over seven furlongs at Lingfield. The longer journey should suit him as well, and with Jamie Spencer on board, he can be a danger. Of the rest, Beauchamp United may also improve enough to figure, although he will almost certainly be seen to better effect over further next year. On this occasion the finger points to Mighty Kitchener.
