    Verdict

    UNIVERSAL skated up against older horses at Ripon last week and looks to be on the upgrade. Mark Johnston's colt can defy his penalty at the main expense of Fluctuate, who got off the mark over a slightly shorter trip here in April and didn't run at all badly at Ascot last month considering he was returning from a break. Savanna Days has some decent form to her name but didn't appear to get home over a similar trip at Goodwood last time while Zimira is now tried in blinkers having shown little so far this year. Prince Alzain is eased in grade but needs to step up on recent efforts to land this under top weight.
