A few of these are already running out of chances to it might be worth siding with Stay Close, whose debut run was promising enough to suggest that this half-brother to mile winner Editor In Chief has a fair bit more to offer and is selected in preference to Champoluc, who is respected but has been expensive to follow, whereas Daybreak Dancer showed promise last time but has improvement to find today. Not many of the rest have really caught the imagination - with only Hereditary appealing as one to bear in mind for future reference. Like many of his preceding stablemates, he is likely to need further in time and it will be interesting to note what happens with him when he is stepped up in trip. However, Stay Close appeals as the one to be on for now, as he has plenty of scope for improvement and does not have much to find to keep this lot at bay today.
