In depth

Verdict

This is no better than a seller and although the likes of Easibet Dot Net and Fight The Feeling, both recent winners here have claims, Royal Prodigy gets the vote. Ron Hodges four-year-old has won five races this term, two on the flat and two over hurdles when in the care of Martin Pipe and he struck at the first time of asking for the Hodges yard when beating the consistent Al's Alibi over course and distance last month. But, it his record over course and distance which catches the eye, for he has had three outings here, winning twice and finishing third on the other occasion. He is clearly on good terms with himself and although he has to give weight away all round, he should prove equal to the task. Easibet Dot Net gained due reward for some consistent efforts when getting off the mark here last month when beating another of today's rivals Ambersong. While they are closely matched, he is taken to come out on top again as he was quite a late foal (May), so he should still be open to some improvement, in which case he will make them all go. Fight The Feeling responded to the first-time visor when getting up close home to reel in Kentucky Bullet last month. Whether the visor will have the same effect here, we shall have to wait and see. Trevor Wall saddled his first winner since the Spring when Spy Gun scored at Southwell earlier this week and his E Minor may be one to keep an eye on. The filly was having her first taste of this surface when well behind Snow's Ride last month and will certainly be wiser this time. She is effective over this trip and is one of the more likely bigger priced one's. Khuzdar has ability, but isn't one to rely on, so we will stay with Royal Prodigy, who is effective here and knows how to win.
