Verdict

Penarth Pier ran her best race so far on an artificial surface at Kempton. She probably sets the standard in this, ahead of Second Collection, but it’s not a particularly high one and a couple of newcomers are interesting on pedigree. Mark Johnston’s FRENCH TWIST is a US dirt-bred filly who should thrive here. She shouldn’t be short of pace and is preferred to Lola's Theme, a 35,000gns daughter of Iffraaj out of a mare that won over a mile on Polytrack.
