MAGICAL MOLLY JOE overcame trouble in-running to score over track and trip last month and beat Muraadef, Mystical Moon and Seaforth in the process. She can race off a lower mark with an apprentice’s allowance taken into account and can go close again. Langley Vale also won here in November but hasn’t raced since and the 10-year-old will be better for the outing while Tha'ir has been in good form over longer trips at the track but hasn’t won over today’s distance since his juvenile days. Energia Flavio recorded last year’s victories here in plating races while Little Miss Kodi is usually thereabouts at this level without winning.
