Plenty of alternatives in this opener. Ghazan may have finally slipped far enough down the weights to get his head in front and finished ahead of Street Poet when runner-up over a longer trip here. The same goes for Destinys Rock, who also drops back down in distance along with Creative Talent, a winner here in March. Grey Destiny scored over 7f at the track earlier while Celtic Artisan is back on a winning mark and Helfire went close at Lingfield last time. But LAQAB will appreciate the return to this surface after struggling on the Fibresand at Southwell and gets a speculative vote on an earlier close-up fourth over course and distance in a higher grade than this.
