In depth

Verdict

Island Legend bids for a hat-trick off a 4lb higher mark after scoring over C&D on his latest start. Fair Passion was well beaten and looks held but third-placed HEAD SPACE is of interest. The former Jim Bolger inmate won his only start as a two-year-old and was having his first outing since September on his debut for Ruth Carr last time. He should improve for that pipe-opener and gets the nod ahead of Baby Strange, who looks dangerous off his current mark having gone close at Lingfield last time. Mappin Time is another with claims if fully primed for his return to action.
