This is distinctly moderate but something has to win and we will side with DESERT LARK to get the better of Desert Lover and Jiminor Mack. The selection is a lightly-raced type and he was far from disgraced behind the well-backed Barney Curley owned runner Tusculum last time out. That horse was once quite useful so the form looks solid enough and if he can build on that effort then he can take all the beating. Desert Lover could be his chief rival as he will find this easier than the race he contested last time when he was a little disappointing at Southwell. He is thoroughly exposed though so it could pay to look elsewhere. Jiminor Mack does have ability but she remains a maiden after 27 starts so she is hard to recommend with confidence. Spy Gun went close two starts ago but he then failed to build on it last time and consistency is not his strong point. There could be more to come from Desert Lark and as a consequence he is forwarded as the pick.
