In a race that will take little winning, a chance is taken with Gallas over Diktatorship, Galley Law and Heathyards Joy. In truth nothing appeals greatly, but Gallas, who has gone 27 starts without managing to open his account, has at least shown a bit of promise since returning from an 11-month break at Kempton in November. Despite looking one-paced on each of his last two appearances, Sean Lycett's six-year-old should now be spot on, and that will help his cause enormously in this moderate field. In addition he can meet Diktatorship on 3lb better terms for the neck that separated them here eight days ago, so should at the very least have his measure. Galley Law's two career victories have come on the Southwell Fibresand, and he has been off the track since running over hurdles at Sedgefield in June, while Heathyards Joy's last appearance was also over timber, albeit a winning one at Ludlow in November. Nothing to get excited about here then, with only a modest vote going to Gallas.
