        Verdict

        The short list contains Ella Y Senna, Charlotte Grey and Beau Sancy, with the vote going to Charlotte Grey. Charlotte Grey has progressed from the selling ranks to handicaps of late and still looks competitive from her current rating, and the step up to seven furlongs from last time should also help the cause. There are not many you can get too excited about here, although there are some lightly-raced performers open to improvement that should be noted in the betting. Ella Y Senna is one of these. It is not immediately obvious why Beau Sancy will benefit from the drop to seven furlongs today, although his form is solid at 10 furlongs, while Emefdream has not been able to build on a Southwell selling win. Once again, then, the selection is Charlotte Grey.
