Verdict

Restless Bay just about sets the standard in this maiden after a couple of runs but HEARTBREAK shouldn't have to improve much from a promising debut to win and it's Richard Fahey's charge that gets the vote while Imaginary World looks the most interesting newcomer. It's tough to oppose anything from the flying Fahey yard presently and after finishing a close up third of five in a Hamilton maiden on debut the pick should come on for the run and go a couple better. Restless Bay was no match for a runaway subsequent Group winner on debut but that looks good form in the context of this race. He didn't improve next time up though which leaves a doubt. Imaginary World will probably need further in time but does have some speed in his pedigree so can run well first time up while Palindromic would be in with a shout if returning to the form on his debut run. Bradbury was well held on his first outing in a warm looking race but at least has a run to build on but in a tricky opener with the Richard Fahey yard on such good form Heartbreak looks the call.
