Verdict

DESERT EMPEROR has gone close in all three outings since winning over course and distance in December. He drops in class having been beaten a head in a tougher contest at Lingfield and is the one to beat with a similar effort. Novice winner White Willow steps up in trip for her handicap debut along with Old Port, whose winning run came to an end off today’s mark last time. Percy Willis has been in good form in lower grade races this year but Casting Vote is hard to recommend.
