In a weak maiden PARHELION should improve for his first outing and score another for Mark Johnston with Brave Talk just about setting the standard and Gems should also find improvement on her third start. Well-bred, the pick was a little outpaced at Lingfield early on during his debut run before he worked out what was required of him. He made some eye-catching gains late on in that contest and he might be suited by the slower surface this time. Brave Talk promised wins in his first two runs before disappointing last time out. His third place behind the impressive Beyond on debut is encouraging form and he might be worth giving another chance too. Gems shaped well enough on her first start before only beating one home on fast going ground here last time. She should be capable of better and this looks an easier assignment. Demo Jo looks the most interesting newcomer and any market support for her will be noteworthy but with bags of potentially Parhelion gets the nod.
