In depth

Verdict

Ella Woodcock, Sunley Sovereign and My Mirasol are the obvious contenders here and we just prefer the first named. The selection finished ahead of Sunley Sovereign when they met in an apprentice handicap at Kempton earlier this month. Both horses were returning from a break and are entitled to improve, but Ella Woodstock has a length and a half in hand of her rival and there seems no reason why she shouldn't confirm the form. My Mirasol chased home the well handicapped Medici Code over course and distance last time. She may have been flattered by the proximity to that winner but should still play a major role here this afternoon. Strike Force may prove best of the two Ron Harris runners and could be fighting for a place, but we think Ella Woodcock is the likely winner.
