        Verdict

        Andrew Balding sent out last year's winner and has every chance of picking-up this year's renewal with BRANDON CASTLE (NAP). Beaten only a short-head in a Class 3 contest by Sparring here last month, he can confirm running with Gabrial The Hero and come out best on this occasion. Shrewd is not out of this off his current mark though Callendula remains 12lb higher than her win at Bath in October. Miss Minuty has a chance if staying the extra distance but Devon Drum seems better over 1m6f.
