In depth

Verdict

The three against the field are Gem Bien, Frank's Quest and Paso Doble with the vote going to the last named. Rod Millmans charge looked gracious in defeat over course and distance last time out when beaten by Perez. This race looks easier and if able to capitalize on that fact he ought to take some beating. Frank's Quest was a further seven lengths back in third that day and will struggle to reverse the placings here. Gem Bien is another to note in the betting as he was a fine second at Southwell last time out and although soundly beaten that day he has the ability to win a contest of this nature at some point. Naval Attach is also a danger as his form looks better now he has moved stables and is another to note. But for the winner we return to Paso Doble.
