A fair event on paper but without reference to the market, DIAMOND LAURA looks a likely sort with Anjomarba and Avonvalley having obvious claims. The filly ran well from a favoured draw at Windsor last time out and with the trainer no stranger to running his horses at the racetrack rather than on the gallops, she should be fit enough. Amjomarba put up a solid effort at Pontefract on her third outing. This looks something of a drop in class. Avonvalley is a daughter of sire of the moment, Avonbridge. She did not do a lot wrong at Bath and could be capable of more. Any Day has valuable experience of racing on an artificial surface having raced twice at Lingfield. Victorian Art was out very early in the season and returns to the racecourse having had a brief absence. Little Brazilien was unfancied on debut though clearly ran better than the market suggested. She was ahead of Ice Cool Lady at Windsor though Walter Swinburn's filly enjoys a 1lb pull this afternoon. Diamond Laura looks fast and ready to go and that could be enough.
