        Verdict

        The step up to this trip would not ordinarily be expected to bring the absolute best out of Welsh Whisper but the lack of strength-in-depth presented by the opposition simply makes him the one to beat. Countrywide Girl is better suited to this distance and could get closer to the selection if more forceful tactics are employed today, whereas Ellamyte is no forlorn hope for each way players despite a losing run that stretches back to July 2002. Out of the rest: Point Man put in an improved performance last time and is one to monitor for signs of support when the betting opens. However, they will all need to pull out all the stops if Welsh Whisper arrives here in the same frame of mind as was in last time.
