      In depth

      Verdict

Bell Heather was in good form before the break so has to go on the shortlist. Troop is usually thereabouts but has yet to win on the surface. Bea Ryan could be interesting making her all-weather debut but we’ll take a chance on DEFTERA LAD. Sylvester Kirk’s charge has had little racing over the last few years but his run at Kempton in March was not without promise and his only victory to date came over this course and distance.
