It may pay to focus on Babycakes and VAULTAGE in this race and we'll take the latter to emerge victorious in a race set to be dominated by Newmarket horses. Babycakes is the one with form in the book already having been beaten a head over course and distance last time but she's up 4lbs for that and may find Vaultage too strong on the day. Ed Dunlop's charge is bred to be at her best on this surface and, as a 135,000gns purchase, one would hope there are races to be won with her off this rating of 68. The yard have had some success already this season, much of it with similarly unexposed types, and in a race that lacks strength in depth she's taken to win on her first try in a handicap. Babycakes seems certain to run her race and will attract some support, especially with the yard going nicely, and can take second ahead of the likes of Always De One who is a consistent type but she's spurned easier opportunities than this in the past. Lady Willa has had fewer chances than most and this daughter of Footstepsinthesand couldn't be totally ruled out but she's disappointed so far this season and lies under a cloud at present. Larkrise Star tries Wolverhampton for the first time as connections bid to get a win out of her but she's had chances easier than this, with Vaultage taken to put in an electrifying performance.
