Verdict

Stunning In Purple is better than she showed last time but on what we've seen so far even that won't be enough to beat BELLE ROYALE who gets our confident vote. Our selection ran behind Brocklesby fourth Lady Brookie on her first start and wasn't beaten at all far before again taking second at Yarmouth on her second try. Either of those efforts should be good enough for her to go close and with the prospect of improvement she's going to be hard to beat if proving as effective here. Stunning In Purple showed up well on her debut at Lingfield which bodes well for this and the feeling is she's better than her second effort, when only just touched off, so respect is given to Andy Haynes' filly who has plenty in her favour. Vienna Woods should improve on her debut but we feel she'll need to and a bigger threat may be Lenjawi Pride for Tom Dascombe, whose runners are now coming into form after a slow start to the year. Nellie Ellis is another representing a good yard and it'd be no surprise were she to progress but the standard set by Belle Royale is a good one and she's selected accordingly.
