Spence Appeal landed a similar race to this at Lingfield last time and he can follow up today at the expense of Golden Square and Namking. Kevin Ryan's gelding showed tremendous courage to get the better of Missed Turn, with Grezie, a good yardstick to this type of event, well beaten in third. Most of his rivals are well exposed and he looks set to make it back to back victories. Namking is one that does have some scope for improvement having only had the four outings to date. Chris Thornton's gelding finished a promising fourth in a Wolverhampton maiden last time and drops into selling company for the first time this afternoon, he could prove a big danger to all. Golden Square ran well in a seller over course and distance last time and a similar effort will see him in the shake up again. Pat Haslam runs both Zando and Dramatic River, both have shown ability and may prove best of the others, however Spence Appeal is the horse in form and he gets the nod.
