Ballygriffin Kid is in hot form at present and must be respected in this weak event, however we will take a chance on Quincannon, with Captain Darling also expected to go close. David Barron trains the selection who landed his maiden at Southwell at the end of last month, before running with credit in competitive handicap at the same track. He performed well on his only other visit here and should go well off today's mark. Ballygriffin Kid has had a couple of recent victories one here and one at Lingfield. Both successes were in banded company but he finished an excellent third behind Captain Darling at Lingfield on Saturday and gets in here with a nice racing weight and should go close. That victory for Captain Darling was in a classified event and at today's weights it should very close between these two. So not the strongest of contests and Quincannon looks up to the task.
