Verdict
With none of those that have raced so far appearing to be anything special, it could be worth taking a chance on Richard Hannon's debutante Billy Bling, with fellow newcomers Trimlestown and Bentong also worth noting. Richard Hannon always makes sure that his select team of all-weather horses pay their way year in, year out, so Billy Bling will no doubt be another that will visit the winner's enclosure sooner rather than later. The son of Enrique was cheaply bought but is related to plenty of juvenile winners on the dam's side, so if he has inherited just a bit of their precociousness, a big run is on the cards. Henry Candy is another trainer that generally has his two-year-olds fit and ready, so Trimlestown, a half-brother to Solario Stakes winner Barbajaun, is worth a favourable mention. Bentong cost 110,000gns so will be expected to pay his way, while of those that have been out so far, Marachi Band makes some appeal, having had two outings on the all-weather already. Watch the market closely, and if it speaks in favour of Billy Bling, the hint should be taken.
