Farnborough gets the confident vote in this handicap with Shush and Royal Melbourne rated as the main dangers. The selection won with a fair bit on hand on this track last time when defeating Witchcraft. He is stepped-up in trip which should suit and he is difficult to oppose. Shush hasn't won for two years but he is on a winning mark and he ran as though his turn might not be far away at Yarmouth last time when a good second behind Summarise. He is another who should not be inconvenienced by the step-up in trip and he should go well. Royal Melbourne finished second behind Feed The Meter at Newcastle last time but he never looked like getting near the winner that day. However, he has run well over this course and distance in the past and he looks to have solid place claims. Ruffed has not shown a great deal on his three runs to date but he is from a top yard and he remains unexposed so it could be dangerous to dismiss him lightly in this moderate affair on his handicap bow. However, Farnborough has plenty in his favour today and is given the vote.
