Verdict

Dark Scimitar showed the benefit of his opening run at Kempton when just failing to catch Media Storm over this track and trip. Daniel Muscutt takes over from an apprentice so he looks certain to get into contention. The First King was sent to race on Deauville's Polytrack for his debut where he just failed to match strides with the favourite Makito so he's an obvious contender. Cityzen Serge cost €75,000 and is a half-brother to a useful 6f winner though it's the filly MOOHAREEBA who catches the eye on breeding as she's a half-sister to two all-weather middle-distance winners and out of a very high-class mare. Pot Of Paint hasn't shown much in two starts but should improve.
