Verdict
Headland looks to hold a good chance in the seller, with Hugh The Man possibly the ones to give him most to do. The David Chapman-trained selection has won three times here, although never at today's trip. Being just a pound shy of being the top-rated in this race, he holds obvious claims. The top-rated, by just a pound, Hugh The Man. He has solid form at around his current mark and, with Jean-Pierre Guillaumbert taking a useful three pounds off his back, he looks set to run a big race. Ally Makbul comes here on the back of a course and distance win but, on balance, has to improve again. Daimajin is well weighted on the best of his Turf form but is untried on the surface and that form hails from September 2002. In fairness, many of these have comparable form if you take out Headland and Hugh The Man so we could see a good battle for the placings but, overall, we'll side with Headland to land the spoils.
