Katavi is a speculative choice over Imtalkinggibberish, Russian Symphony and Miss Adelaide, with Kiss Again worth noting in the market. Three outsiders filled the frame in the race at Lingfield in which Katavi made her debut, but Jeremy Noseda's filly shaped very well in fifth place. She was sent off as favourite that day and the way in which she picked up late on suggests that the daughter of Stravinsky will go close to getting losses back today. Imtalkinggibberish has had plenty of experience already, and was eighth in the Jersey Stakes at Royal Ascot. Since then he has been confined to six furlongs, and may appreciate the move back up in trip. Russian Symphony was always held by Stormy Nature here last time, while Miss Adelaide tries seven furlongs for the first time since her Newbury debut and looks nothing special. Luca Cumani's runners seldom go in first time so a watching brief on Kiss Again is advised unless the market says otherwise, and we reckon that Katavi has more scope than most.
