Amoure Medici has been in fine form on this track, scoring over 7f early last month and over the C&D three weeks later. He looks sure to go well again but has an 8lb rise for his latest success to contend with. Salacia won a Yarmouth maiden by seven lengths but didn't run up to that form on a return visit and will need to do better. Solar Spirit hails from a yard in top form and won off a higher mark than this at Catterick in June but it's fellow seven-year-old NOVELLEN LAD who gets the vote. Willie Musson's charge generally keeps much better company than this and the last time he dropped down into this grade he scored on the Polytrack at Lingfield from exactly the same mark.
