In depth

Verdict

A competitive nursery with Holiday Reading and Red Alpha making their handicap debuts after winning their respective maidens at Folkestone and Warwick. Both had subsequent winners behind and so did Rusty Rocket when he won a handicap at Catterick three weeks ago. Amoure Medici won a nursery over C&D last week but is 8lb higher today so a chance is taken on OSCAN. He can put forward the higher grade, longer trip and soft ground as excuses for his defeat at Newbury last time, but won well over today's trip at Leicester on his debut and gets the vote on that basis.
