Le Chiffre appeals as the most likely winner of this seller in a contest where many of his rivals have lingering doubts hanging over them. Le Chiffre showed the benefit of one outing, which followed a six month break when chasing home One More Round in a claimer over this course last time. His rider lost his whip in the closing stages, however it would be brave to say he would have beaten the eventual winner if that incident had not happened. The extended mile will also play to his strengths although stall 13 is not ideal. The veteran Samuel Charles will certainly be better suited by this longer trip than the seven he raced over last time. While he is consistent he remains vulnerable to any potential improver while the most interesting contender is the three year old Jerry Hamilton who is highest rated and is trained by Mark Johnston. His three outings this season have been woeful to say the least, finishing last in all three. Given that he hails for the Johnston yard that will be factored into his price but on what we have seen this season you simply could not get involved. Putra Laju is one that could provide some each way value but Le Chiffre has the most solid credentials.
