Double Royal,Royal Melbourne and Stravmour look the three to concentrate on in this staying handicap and the narrow vote is given to Double Royal. The selection was a fair sixth behind Bid For Fame in a better race last time out, prior to that he had been in top form and with the drop in class sure to suit he is taken to regain the winning thread. Royal Melbourne rates the main danger as he was a fair third behind Sush last time out. That form has since been franked and he will not be far away. Stravmour is another worthy of respect on his latest second behind Indian Chase but the drop in trip is not sure to suit and for that reason he is opposed. East Cape has dropped to a handy and is sure to strip fitter than for his debut effort so is another with place claims. Of the remainder Bretton is game and consistent and sure to run his race but he looks high enough in the weights and for the winner we return to Double Royal.
