In depth

Verdict

Mush is a solid performer on turf, but has so far been unable to break his AW duck. However, he has just found one better on his last two runs at Lingfield, but he is conceding weight all around here. The veteran Sea Ya Maite has not managed to win for nearly two years and was well-beaten on his seasonal return last month. But he may have needed that run to blow the cobwebs away, and his jockey's 7lb claim will aid his cause. My Bayard has been running consistently recently and is entitled to lose his maiden tag soon. He's been second in his last two starts at Wolverhampton, but he has been hiked in the weights as a result. After a string of poor results, Star Princess finally broke her duck under Lisa Jones at Southwell last month. She makes her course debut with Jones in the saddle again on Friday, but would be no more than an each-way chance. Royal Cascade is a veteran course and distance winner, who last won here a year ago. However, he's been struggling lately and is best watched. Urban Myth finished third last time out to Just Wiz and has a generally good record at Wolverhampton; he's the pick of the out of form remainder.
