        Verdict

        Defi is weighted to reverse recent form with My Michelle here but both may have to give best to Satin Braid, who is taken to land the lucky last. David Elsworth does not bring too many out during the winter and those he does are usually worth a second glance. Satin Braid won a Lingfield apprentice handicap over a mile last time and his pilot that day Amy Baker keeps the ride. This extra furlong looks in his favour and now he has some confidence he can add to that success. Defi is 2lb better off with My Michelle for less than a length last time and is capable of winning that particular battle, though he could have been drawn better. Putra Laju is 3lb better off with My Michelle on their recent running here and is another who can turn the tables with her, while Northern Boy loves it here and there is no reason why he should not show up well back at this trip. A market move for him could well be significant, but Satin Braid is the one for us.
