EBURY looked above average when making a winning start at Kempton. Martyn Meade’s colt is entered in a Group 3 contest in Ireland later this month and may well be good enough to defy a penalty in this. Flighty Almighty has been off the track since last summer having debuted at Ascot and better is expected from her this year while Innocent finished closer at Lingfield when last in action but El Picador showed little progress in three starts last season. Night Closure is hard to recommend on what little he’s shown so far.

El Picador (IRE) 9-2 (9-2) Held up and behind, kept on steadily inside final furlong, never nearer, 5th of 8, 10 1/4l behind Ours Puissant (9-2) at Kempton 1m stks (4) pol in Oct.
Night Closure 66-1 (9-2) Led, headed inside final 2f, soon ridden and jinked left, weakened over 1f out, last of 4, 15 1/2l behind Motafaawit (9-2) at Leicester 7f stks (4) gf in Jun.
