In depth

Verdict

Victory March was in brilliant form at the backend of last year winning five times on Tapeta. He's still capable of a big run with his rider's claim a major plus. Greystoke couldn't get close to Nolton Cross last time but the winner could boost the form in the previous race. HEATHEN took a long time to warm to his task last season but looked a nice prospect when scoring easily at Newcastle in September and can defy an 8lb rise and a long absence. Johnny Boom has an excellent record having won six times in 27 starts though they have all been at Class 6 level. Down To The Kid's two victories have been at Southwell and he again ran well there last time.
