CHARLIE D carried top weight to victory over today’s trip at Southwell last week but has won on this surface in the past. Tom Dascombe’s charge can defy a penalty. Glan Y Gors landed a lower grade contest over a shorter trip at Newcastle last time and Hooflepuff is also upped in class after scoring over 1m4f here. Running Cloud and Blue Medici failed to cope with a rise in the weights last time having both won at the track before that but Zabeel Star has landed an all-weather bumper at Newcastle since last seen in this code. Fearless Warrior went close over 2m at Kempton last month and is not out of this either.
