Bid For Fame is taken to complete a hat-trick at the expense of Larad, Sugitani, Our Choice and Arctic Cove. Bid For Fame lines up in better form than most, having won his last two starts, at Southwell and more recently here under his now regular pilot Simon Pearce. The trainer's son gained his first ever victory on board the nine-year-old at Southwell and lost no time in doubling up a month ago. Equally adept at both 12 furlongs and two miles, todays in-between trip should pose no problem and he gets the confident vote to score again for his young pilot. Larad has yet to win any sort of race and is frustrating to follow but he was fancied when second in lowly company at Lingfield last time and may reach the frame again off his low weight. Sugitani finally opened his account at Southwell five days ago, but he was able to use his stamina then and will not be as big a threat back on the Polytrack, while Our Choice is useful at this level but has an absence to overcome. Arctic Cove has also been off for some time and with that in mind, Bid For Fame must surely take all the beating.
