Hurricane Hen has contrived to find one too good on three of his last four starts but he should be capable of taking this from Doubtful Sound. The selection tries this track for the first time but has acted well enough on the polytracks of both Kempton and Lingfield, so the surface should not be an issue. Five furlongs appears to be his optimum trip and he is weighted to land this claimer. Doubtful Sound boasts a c&d success here in January, in a similar contest. David Barron's colt is effective at both six and seven furlongs and at these weights he is entitled to give the selection a bit to do. Grimes Faith has also picked up a couple of claimers in his time, both earlier this year at Southwell. He has also handled Lingfield's polytrack when winning twice there and he acts over a range of trips, so he is no forlorn hope. Earl Compton looks set to bring up the rear, but Hurricane Hen can blow them all away.
