      Verdict

      Spindle and Thewaythewindblows are both Southwell maiden winners but the former was well beaten on his handicap debut at Kempton. By contrast, ANDRETTI won his handicap bow at the latter track last month so Roger Varian's colt gets the vote to go in again off a 3lb higher mark. Invincible Wish won a low grade contest over 7f here last time but Brighton winner Percy Veer makes more appeal with an apprentice taking 5lb off.
