A field large in numbers but low in quality and on closer inspection not many can be given a serious chance of winning but the principals look to be Habitual, Considine and English Rocket and we will take a chance on Habitual. The colt from the Sir Mark Presscott yard is a half brother to the fairly useful Three Green Leaves and he will not need to be anything special to win this on his debut. Considine was a fair seventh in a better maiden behind Cairns on his debut. He is sure to have learnt from the experience and he has definite place claims. English Rocket is another worthy of respect and at least he has experience of this surface when second behind Outer Hebrides a couple of runs ago. Of the remainder Lizhar is another that has shown a modicum of ability but we are happy to stick with the well bred Habitual.
