    Verdict

Betting shop fodder at its best and DOVEDON ANGEL is our stab in the dark with Kirstys Lad and Querido others to mull over. It is to be hoped that the first time cheekpieces make some change to the fortunes of the Gay Kelleway inmate as she continues to search for that first career success. She seems to show her best when ridden aggressively so with this drop in trip to factor, expect to see the jockey getting busy from the off. Kirstys Lad has recent winning form. She has been beaten off similar marks in the past so it will be no easy task to defy the penalty. Querido has not seen the track for ages though Michael Wigham's horses are always noted within the morning exchanges to see if there is any interest. My Mirasol is better known as a National Hunt performer. Nevertheless, Don Cantillon has gone to the trouble of booking Chris Catlin for this assignment. Libre is sure to be making his customary late dash into the places without quite being good enough to win the prize. Barodine ran well in a 0-55 contest last time out and as this is a weaker race, his claims have to be respected. Not a race to row in too heavily about so Dovedon Angel is our recommendation to minimal stakes.
