        Verdict

        It's impossible to make a strong case for any of this bunch. Irish raider GOLAN HEIGHTS was well beaten in better company at Dundalk last time but had got within a length of the winner at the same track before that and gets the token vote. Carpentras has failed to figure in four subsequent starts since scoring at Yarmouth and Venetias Dream has reverted to her old self since finishing third over 6f here in October. Merchants Return was placed over 1m4f at this track back in September but was beaten out of sight at Lingfield last time.
