The maiden BERRY BABY is given the vote to win this as she tackles this trip for the first time; Covert Mission is an obvious danger judging by her Catterick win last time while Blue Jet and Mighty Mover are others to consider. The selection, a maiden after eight starts over trips that have been gradually extended, was noted staying on well on her last start at Pontefract over 12 furlongs. Covert Mission only raced for the second time this flat season last time, winning very easily albeit against a bunch of moderate handicappers. Given the fact she is so lightly raced this season there could well be further improvement to come. Blue Jet, a winner off 46 three starts back did not look entirely comfortable on the rain softened ground at Catterick last time. At this level he is competitive though while Mighty Mover has been shown some leniency by the assessor of late and on his course form earlier in the year would have claims. Berry Baby is given the nod to land this handicap.
