chased winner until ridden over 2f out, weakened over 1f out
raced wide, pulled hard early close up, ridden to chase winner over 2f out, driven over 1f out, kept on towards finish
taken to post early, keen made all, clear entering final 2f, edged right approaching final furlong, pushed out
in touch in rear, ridden halfway, went 3rd over 1f out, no impression
STAR UP IN THE SKY makes most appeal despite a penalty for her recent win over course and distance. Kevin Ryan's filly scored by nearly three lengths and hasn't finished improving yet on that evidence. Iffranesia never figured at Southwell last time but has been running well over 5f on the Polytrack and landed a double in February. Ray Of Joy is facing a tougher task after winning at Kempton last month while Beau Mistral has finished nearer last than first since scoring at Redcar in September. Pira Palace has the past form to figure but was tailed off on her comeback and the jury is out on her.
