According To Pete is our pick to land this with Dream Jewel and Grizebeck selected for minor honours. Malcolm Jeffersons' charge is a decent performer over obstacles and was last seen staying on, in what was quite a hot handicap hurdle at Doncaster over one month ago. He would be vulnerable against an oppenent with a turn of foot but his rider should be able to obtain a front rank position from the draw and that should aid his cause. Dreams Jewel, an all-weather regular, disappointed last time over the course but was a winner on his penultimate start. Hold up tactics seem the key to him and his rider will need to obtain luck in running if those tactics are to proce successful. Grizebeck has a capable amateur on board and an outing five days back on this course should leave him primed for a bold bid here. He has ability and can get in the shake up. Mondial Jack was a winner at Hereford recently and makes his all-weather handicap debut here. His three maiden outings were over inadequate distances so connections obviously campaigned him in those with handicaps in mind. According To Pete is our pick to land the opener.
