Sand Repeal finished second in a similar contest on his penultimate start and could be the value bet here with Cumbrian Knight and Snowberry Hill the obvious dangers. Sand Repeal was not disgraced last time either the front three drawing well clear in the closing stages. He is quite a one paced individual but he appears as one that could upset those likely to head the market. The all-weather circuit seems to have revitalized Cumbrian Knight, who despite a slow start last time worked his way into contention. A fast pace seems to be key to him and that is likely in this event but step back in trip is a worry and for that reason he is passed over. Snowberry Hill is weighted to confirm his superiority over Cumbrian Knight based on their clash over the course in November. He was a shock winner last time out and the two month break which he has had appears to be what he requires. Blue Hills is a four time course winner but appears plenty high enough in the weights while Rare Coincidence runs under the mandatory 6lb penalty following a victory last week. He benefitted from an enterprising ride there and thsi will be tougher. The quality is not high but it is an interesting contest and Sand Repeal is our selection.
