Nan Jan can make the most of his low draw to beat Summer Recluse, with Kew The Music and Bahamian Ballet having it to do from out wide. Roger Ingram's Nan Jan lines up in good form, having won two out of his last three starts on the all-weather, and with his draw in stall two a definite advantage, can defy a six-pound penalty. He won over seven furlongs here in February, but is equally adept at today's trip, and if cracking out early again, will take some passing. Summer Recluse will no doubt come with his customary late challenge, but he really needs to be more up with the pace if he is going to start winning round here. Nevertheless he has taken on fair company and can be placed at least. Bahamian Ballet has more scope than most, and is obviously thriving for Ed McMahon to unleash him here rather than wait for the new Turf season to start. He could easily be a lot better than these in time, but that draw in stall 13 is off-putting. Kew The Music has won here three times in the past, but is better suited to seven furlongs, and in any case is another that will do well to get to the inside from his berth, and all in all, the in-form Nan Jan must be the percentage call.
