It makes a change that we actually have some form to go at in a maiden and it's the runs of the mildly progressive VENUTIUS that catches the eye the most and he is our selection here ahead of Forshour while Flaming Miracle is looking exposed in this company. Having run well on debut the selection held his form on his second run before putting in his best effort to date when upped to this trip here last time. The form from those starts is not spectacular but he's well bred and this looks his easiest assignment yet. Forshour held his form on his second start last time but both of his runs have been promising and from a family of winners he's entitled to go close again. Flaming Miracle is rated the same as the selection but after six starts without success is looking exposed to an improving type while Golden Emperor remains of interest after markedly improving from first run to second. This is an intriguing maiden and Venutius looks the most promising.
